Hello, I’m Danielle — a published children’s author living and writing in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW.

I tell stories inspired by country life and the magic of growing up beyond the city limits. 

From muddy boots and wide-open skies to the unconditional love of my furry companions, I turn everyday moments into heartfelt picture books filled with warmth, wonder, and nostalgia.

A country girl at heart, I’m a passionate gardener who finds peace in the rhythm of rural life and the company of animals who quietly shape my days and my stories.

I’ve been writing since I was a young girl, usually in rhyming lines inspired by real-life moments. The words tend to find me at the most unexpected — and often inconvenient — times, but I’ve learned to catch them quickly before they slip away.

It wasn’t until Miss Tilly came along that I finally felt ready to share a story with the world.

Raising Miss Tilly was a little like raising a baby — round-the-clock feeds, nappy changes, and once she found her feet, a phase not unlike the “terrible twos,” full of mischief and mayhem. It was challenging, exhausting, and completely unforgettable. Over the past five years, the moments we’ve shared have left me utterly smitten.

After almost three years in the making, I’m incredibly proud to share Miss Tilly with you. Every page is a heartfelt reflection of some of my favourite memories, told with love, laughter, and a touch of country magic.
