Hello & welcome!

I'm Danielle, a published Children's Author living & writing from the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW.

Capturing snapshots of country life and celebrating the magic of growing up outside the city, I turn muddy boots, big skies and the love of my furry friends into heartfelt picture books.  

My favourite quote of all time "Animals are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole", (Roger Caras).

A country girl at heart, a passionate gardener, enjoying the peace that the countryside and my furry companions provide me.

I've been writing since I was a young girl —mostly rhyming lines inspired by real-life moments. The words often find me at the most unexpected (and inconvenient) of times— but I have learnt to seize these moments and capture the words before they escape me. 

It wasn’t until Miss Tilly came along that I felt inspired to finally publish a book.

Raising Miss Tilly felt a lot like raising a baby: round-the-clock feeds, nappy changes, and once she found her feet, she entered a phase not unlike the “terrible twos”—full of mischief and mayhem! It was a challenge, to say the least, but over the past five years, the experiences we've shared have left me completely smitten.

Although it took almost three years to complete, I’m so proud to share Miss Tilly with you. Every page is a heartfelt reflection of some of my favourite moments with her.
